Introduction
Today’s reading speaks of Moses and Aaron, chosen by God to perform his mighty acts and miracles in Egypt (see Exodus 7—10). The psalm concludes with a description of God leading the people out of Egypt and providing for them in the desert (see Exodus 12:37-42; 14:1-31).
Scripture Reading
Psalm 105:23-45
Today’s Key Verse: Psalm 105:43
He led his chosen people out, and they sang and shouted for joy.
Reflect
What mighty acts and miracles are recounted in today’s reading? In what ways did God provide for the people after leading them out of Egypt? In what ways do you experience God’s provision?
Pray
Sovereign God, you are ever faithful, and you keep your promises. You provide me with my daily needs, and I thank you for being in your loving care. Keep me faithful as I continue my faith journey, growing in the knowledge of you. Amen.
And now, join us in praying for the ongoing work in Scripture translation. Holy God, we thank and praise you that, last year, Bible Societies completed Scripture translations in 90 languages used by 794 million people, all during the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic. Lord God, we pray that each one of these translations will touch and transform the lives of individuals, families, and communities. We are so thankful for the translators who have dedicated years of their lives to making these Scriptures available in people’s heart languages. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Psalm 107:1-22: A psalm in praise of God’s unfailing love.
