New Creation

Do you remember the last time you got something new? It might have been an outfit, a new Playstation, or something like that. For me, it was my new phone. As soon as I got my new phone, my old phone was no longer needed. I got rid of the old phone and never saw it again - my new one was much better!

That’s a bit like what life is in Jesus; once we decide to follow Jesus, we become what the Bible calls a new creation! No matter what came before, we are made completely new in Jesus. We have a fresh start, a clean slate.

What makes this even more amazing is we didn’t do anything to deserve this. Jesus did the work for us. He loves us so much that He was willing to die for us so that we can have life in Him. That doesn't mean we’ll always feel like it, and it certainly doesn’t mean we’ll always get it right, but it does mean that Jesus has done something in us that means we are forever new with him. How cool is that?
