"Marked for a Purpose"
As a child, I was extremely shy, retiring, and happy to be in the background. Even these days, it’s easy for me to slip into the realm of ‘reluctant leader,’ happy to let others take the spotlight. The truth is that it’s only my convictions that push me across that line and compel me to stand up and speak.
When I first became a Christian, I was clueless about the world of God and church, yet I had such a hunger to explore the Bible. One day I found myself reading the book of Micah, when suddenly a passage seemed to leap right off the page and directly into my heart. At that moment, I somehow knew that I was divinely marked for a special path and future, although I wouldn’t comprehend it for many years.
Perhaps there has been a time in your life where you sensed that divine marking or calling - that you were set apart by your heavenly Father for something wonderful and great - or maybe you are just beginning to sense it now...
The truth is that no matter who you are, what your experiences are, or how you feel about yourself, once you receive Jesus as your Savior, He is also your Lord. As Savior, He rescues you from death to eternal life; as Lord, He marks you for His kingdom and places value and purpose upon you. From the moment you are saved, you take your first step toward your destiny and purpose.
I pray that God will awaken and nourish His divine plan for your life and that you will find the courage to fully submit to His call and step out, press in, and press on. God desires that you are marked for His call, strengthened for the journey ahead, and refined for the territory toward which He is beckoning you.
Paul put it this way in Philippians 1:6,
I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. (AMP)
