What’s My Anointing?

Do you know that you have something really special in you and upon you? Some call it the "X-factor" or the "It-factor", but you have something very unique in you. In fact, Psalm 139:16 reveals that you were designed for very specific purposes: “Your eyes saw my unformed body," the Bible says, "all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.” (NIV) Before you ever exhaled one breath, God already had a tremendous plan for your life. This plan doesn’t happen by accident. God has given you all the ingredients required to live your destiny.

God will do His part by:

1. Cleansing you of all of your sins and shortcomings, like He did for me.
2. Providing a clear purpose for you. Your life is not an accident.
3. Giving you favor, power, and gifts to accomplish your assignment.
4. Supporting your growth by providing a relational infrastructure. Ephesians 4 says, “So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” (Ephesians 4:11-12, NIV) to support your growth.
5. Anointing you to fulfill your divine destiny. You will live with a supernatural touch from heaven. The Bible says, “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.” (1 John 2:20, NIV)

The anointing is God’s perfect secret sauce. It will help you shine for Him, change lives, lead many to Christ, build businesses, and score that winning goal in soccer. When you live your destiny, you become like a fine perfume to the Earth. You smell like heaven when the anointing of God is on you. 2 Corinthians 2:15 says, “For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.” (NIV) Everyone has a particular odor because we are all different. When the Spirit of God touches your life, you will emanate a heavenly smell that's beautiful and unique. Hey, what do you smell like when God is on you?

I’m praying that you will seek to be the perfume of heaven. The world is waiting for the scent of heaven. Will you be the carrier of this fragrance? There's a name written on that scent, and it’s not Dior, Chanel, or Bulgari—it’s the Spirit of Jesus. The anointing is not separate from you; it is only released into the atmosphere when it rests upon you like a fine perfume. Get it, guard it, share it because you are a miracle.
