How To Hear God's Voiceنموونە
God will never say anything that is contrary to His Word. When Eve was tempted, the serpent did one thing: contradict what God had said. Satan distorts God's Word and we must compare everything we hear with what the commands of God are. Our best defense is to know the Bible and what God says about you, the world, and the devil. If you want to sharpen your sensitivity to the voice of the Lord, spend time and cultivate a daily study time and reading of His Word.
We all have emotions that can at times get out of control and then start to distract us. We can see pictures in our minds when we get overwhelmed and this may not be from God. We need to settle our human emotions and enter into the presence of God by worshiping and meditating on His Word. After you usher yourself into the presence of God you need to ask what the inner witness or voice from your spirit is saying. The Holy Spirit speaks into our spirits, and the voice of God will provide illumination and direction in that particular area of our lives. This is why quieting and yielding yourself to God is so essential. God will light the lamp, and the lamp will provide light, and the light will provide illumination.
Today's Challenge
Practice giving God all your emotions and transfer all attention to Him as you continue out this day. Meditate on what it means to have the Spirit of God testify with your spirit that you are a child of God who has a right to have a connection and relationship with Him because of what Jesus did on the cross and through His resurrection. Commit your eyes and ears to see and hear what the Holy Spirit wants to show you today.
Be blessed!

About this Plan
As we go through life there are many voices that can influence our behavior, thoughts, and even the direction we take. Among those voices speaking to us is God, the devil, people, our families, and our own thoughts. The words you listen to begin to shape who you are and the decisions you make. More than any other distraction God wants to connect with us through our communication with Him.
