Resurrection Faith: Hebrews 11:35 Women

DAY 3 OF 3

Today, we will focus on the story of Elisha and the Shunammite woman (2 Kings 4:8-37).

2 Kings 4:23&26 (AMP) says:
The woman’s husband said: “Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.” And she said, “It will be all right.
Elijah said: Please run now to meet her and ask her, ‘Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?’” And she answered, “It is well.”

The death of a child is one of the most devastating experiences. Yet, the Shunammite woman dared to say, “It is well.” The Shunammite woman exemplified the practicality of faith in God. Faith is belief in the almightiness of God, and it is evident in our words and actions (James 2:14-17).

“It is well” is one prophetic statement we say a lot in my home. We are intentional about speaking God’s sure Word of prophecy in good and challenging times (2 Peter 2:19; Joel 2:10). And when we fall short, we quickly repent.

What are you saying and doing to reflect your faith in God? Are you speaking God’s Word of prophecy over that hopeless or dead situation?

If we want things to be well or alright, we must speak and believe God’s truth about every situation.

Believe and say, “It will be all right.”

Believe and say, “It is well.”

And you will see what you say and believe in alignment with your heavenly Father’s Word.

Believe the Word, speak the Word, and see the Word manifest.

I love that the women of faith in this plan simply loved God and believed in Him for the impossible. We all have an invitation to make history by becoming radical men and women of faith.

We hope this plan has encouraged you. Explore other great resources from Christian Mommas and kindly share this devotional with loved ones.
