The Battle for Job
In the passages you read today, you saw that Satan had to go before God, give an account to where he’s been, and get approval from God to do anything.
While these passages might be a little confusing, there are a couple of really important things you can take away from them.
First, remember there’s no one above God. No one. Not Satan, his demons, or any other evil or bad thing can out match God. He is at the top of the food chain. He is in control and over all things—good, bad, or otherwise.
Second, notice how Job lost literally everything but his own life, yet he continued to worship and praise God. And you read later on that God restored everything to him two-fold. He didn’t get those old things and people back, but it was all made new. God gave him because a new life because he stayed strong and trusted God when life couldn’t get any worse.
Here’s the thing, God is over all things. And we don’t always understand why bad things happen in the world or in our lives, but we need to learn to trust God at all times even when it seems hard.
