Year of the Bible: Part Four of Twelve نموونە
God's Desire to Restore.
The day was getting closer when the Israelites would enter the Promised Land. Even though Moses knew he would not join them, he continued to care for them with his leadership and words of encouragement.
Moses was sensitive and stern when instructing God's people, like a good spiritual father. Moses squeezed in every last instruction and influence of hope before they left him behind. Part of these last-minute pointers included the probability of them being distracted from God and God's plan to restore them.
Today your restoration begins with the decision to turn toward Jesus. God the Father offered His son Jesus to make us holy if we believe and trust in Him. The decision is yours. When Moses explained the love God had for the Israelites, he reminded them to pursue the love of the Father. As it is today, you also have a decision to make, and as you make it, you must understand God's loving intention to restore you completely.
Question: How confident are you that the Lord can and wants to restore you?
Prayer Focus: Ask the Lord to soften your heart regarding anything that is against Him and express your gratitude for His plan to restore you.
Go Deeper: God's love is amazing! Check out this scripture. "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: 'I will deal with you as you deserve because you have despised my oath by breaking the covenant. Yet I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.'" (Ezekiel 16:59-60 NIV)
