Esther, Born for Such a Time as Thisنموونە
The Lord God saved His people through Esther, Ahasuerus, and Mordecai. He used people who probably never would have guessed that He would choose them to complete His plans. The disaster was averted, and on the days on which the mass murder would have occurred, a massive celebration was held instead.
It is astonishing how God turns the tide time and time again for His children. He protects those who belong to Him, and—if we have placed our faith in Him—that includes you and me. That doesn’t mean that life will be without pain, difficulty, or sorrow. But it does change our perspective. We, too, can expect God’s deliverance. And what’s more, God changes our days of suffering into days of gladness and joy.
When life is hard, consider what kind of a God we have. He is faithful; He watches over us and is near. He uses very ordinary people to glorify Himself, and He makes them competent to do His will. Our God is a saving God, a God who provides reasons to celebrate and rejoice, even after fear and suffering.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word. Thank You for using perfectly ordinary people. Please use me as well to honor You. Thank You that the Bible is evidence of Your faithfulness and the fact that You take care of Your children. Lord, You know life is tough sometimes, that the suffering is too much. Thank You for giving me the perspective of heaven in those moments, an endless feast and everlasting joy with You. Let that be the most important anchor in my life. Amen.

About this Plan
In this plan, we will take you through the book of Esther. We can admire Esther's courage, but we should see the whole picture: Esther, too, needed to be reminded of Who rules and that her life is in His hand. We pray that Esther's story inspires you to see God's hand in your life. God has intentionally placed you where you are for such a time as this.
