Esther, Born for Such a Time as Thisنموونە
In today’s reading, Esther receives an urgent appeal from Mordecai. And what an assignment it was! She had to go to the king and plead for her people. In that time, you could only come to the king when he invited you, and the king had not asked for Esther in thirty days. If you took the initiative to go to the king yourself, you could be killed unless the king held his gold scepter out to you. Esther was scared and she tried to convince Mordecai to find another way. But Mordecai insisted that she fight for her people.
We are also asked to fight for our faith. Sometimes God asks us to do things that scare us. Maybe He will ask you to take a certain job or do a certain study, but you don't feel confident enough in yourself to do it. Or maybe you are watching something online and you know that it doesn’t fit in your life with God. How often do you decide to do, or to refuse to do, things for God? Do you try to convince God that something should or should not fit in your life with Him?
Prayer: Lord, sometimes You ask things from me that I find hard. Sometimes it’s hard to let go of something that I cherish even when I know it doesn’t fit in my life with You. Help me to do what is right and to be obedient to You. Amen.

About this Plan
In this plan, we will take you through the book of Esther. We can admire Esther's courage, but we should see the whole picture: Esther, too, needed to be reminded of Who rules and that her life is in His hand. We pray that Esther's story inspires you to see God's hand in your life. God has intentionally placed you where you are for such a time as this.
