Resting in the Lordنموونە

In the Quiet
To enter a state of rest, we need to know who God is and who we are in Him. A lot of unrest and restlessness starts within ourselves. When our basis, knowing God and ourselves through Him, is solid, our whole life is lived from this point of rest.
"Be still" is not only a call to quiet down, sit down, and relax in the presence of the Father. In the stillness, several things are happening. In stillness, we are coming into the presence of the Father. Secondly, we learn from the Hebrew text that within the stillness, there is healing. Our distorted vision is mended. It is being aligned with the reality that God is God! God is in control, and He will be honored throughout the earth! The victory belongs to our God. Every day when you enter the presence of God, you want to see God enthroned in your life. And when He is enthroned, He is in control. Will you let Him?
Let's finish today with The Message translation of this verse and dive into the rest that we find in His presence.
"Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything."
Prayer:
Father, thank you for inviting me into your presence. Please bring my vision, and lead my thoughts in alignment with your sovereignty. Teach me to live and act accordingly. Amen
