Obviously this chapter doesn’t center on Jonah, but he is mentioned. Jonah is given as an example of what is going to happen to Jesus. Jonah spent three days in a fish and Jesus will spend three days in a grave. Despite Jonah’s failures, his life is used to remind us of the miracle of Jesus’ resurrection.

The story of Jonah should give us hope. We can be used by God despite our failures!
