Grateful and Renewed Commitment
Lord, as we look back on the year gone by, with its many challenges, fears, and pain, we are grateful! We are grateful Lord to be alive when many loved ones have been called home. We are grateful for the many ways you have provided and sustained us through a difficult year in more ways than one. We are humbled. We are grateful.
Lord, help us to ever remember this deep truth: if you, in your great wisdom and grace, have chosen to keep us here on this side of eternity, it is because you are not yet done with us, our lives, and our purpose. Give us, Lord, fresh and renewed commitment. Give us, Lord, deep love for you and a deep passion to live and serve you with all our hearts in the year ahead. Help us live each day, ever conscious that we are your chosen people called to proclaim you through our lives, we pray.
Colossians 1:16 - For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
1 Peter 2:9 - But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Ponder this: How is my life reflecting a heart of gratitude and commitment to the Lord?
