Resting in the Love of Jesus: A 5-Day Lent Devotional by Asheritah Ciuciuنموونە

JESUS OFFERS HOPE
“Then he said, ‘Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ Jesus answered him, ‘Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.’” LUKE 23: 42–43
RECITE GOD’S GOODNESS
O Lover of my Soul, thank You that it’s never too late to come to You. As long as I have breath in my lungs, You offer mercy and forgiveness for my sins. Though the enemy of my soul intends to keep me bound to sin and far from You in shame and guilt, You invite me to come, believe, and rest.
EXPRESS YOUR NEEDINESS
It was my sin that put Jesus on that cross, but it was love that held Him there. Every agonizing breath was a declaration of love and commitment to reconcile us to You. So I confess my sins to You now, holding nothing back, receiving Your forgiveness.
SEEK HIS STILLNESS
Allow God’s Spirit to convict and cleanse you of your sin. Then rest in God’s loving presence as He declares you righteous in Jesus.
TRUST HIS FAITHFULNESS
Because of Jesus’ death, I’m dead to sin and made alive to Your Spirit within me. I have hope of victory over sin. This isn’t because of my goodness or dedication; it’s because of Your matchless grace, mercy, and love. I trust You in my battle with my flesh today. You will be victorious.
