Everyday Life in Revelation: Part 5 The Peopleنموونە
We read today of the church triumphant. These are the believers who have withstood the test. They have endured the conflict. These are the believers who have remained true to King Jesus and have passed into glory. The focus is upon believers who have been martyred for their faith, but it also points to believers who have remained faithful to King Jesus even when it hurts.
In this world we must endure much pain and sadness. We may even lose everything for Christ. But all the loss and all the sadness will be worth what we stand to gain in eternity. Do we really believe this statement?
We find ourselves getting way too comfortable with our material things, our stuff. We fear losing them. We can enjoy the gifts that God gives us in this world, but let us hold on to them very loosely. Try to keep them from becoming idols in our hearts.
How do we do this? By daily reminding ourselves that the best is yet to come. This thought will help us do focus on the eternal. Go through your day with these thoughts in your mind.
