Prepare for new opportunities
Can you imagine 40 years of setbacks and failures? Pretty terrible, right? The Bible explains that Israel paid dearly for a missed opportunity “‘because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it.’” (Numbers 14:22-23, NKJV) Forty years of looking into the Promised Land must have driven them crazy.
Have you ever made bad decisions or missed opportunities? I have, and it really hurt. A few years ago, my nephew told me about an investment called Bitcoin. We talked about it a few times, but I couldn’t quite wrap my brain around it. So he continued to invest and made a truckload of cash as I watched and kicked myself for a missed opportunity. Yikes!
Isn’t it time for you and me to see, discern, and invest in the future? COVID-19 has hit everyone pretty hard, but there may be new opportunities to start a new business, go back to school, or invest in a growing company. Could it be time for you to make a career change or respond to a divine assignment?
My answer is yes. So, what are we going to do in the next six months to step into a new move of God, His blessings, and favor? What do you think about these ideas?
- Take new courses, certifications, or even online courses to gain a higher degree? I just received a scholarship to earn my doctorate in cross-cultural leadership. Hallelujah! I found a problem in our world, and I’m getting equipped to help answer the call.
- Do your due diligence. Every decision and investment should include research and investigation. Wise counsel will surely help as well.
- Find a need and fill it. There are so many needs in our society. The Bible says, “‘Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.’” (Luke 6:38, NKJV) and “And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, ‘If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.’” (Mark 9:35, NKJV)
Are you willing to try these three steps and let me know the results? I believe you will make something happen because you are a miracle.
