Discover the Kingdom of Heaven

DAY 4 OF 7

Have you found your place in this world?

A kingdom is important for those who want to know their place in this world. Have you ever felt like you were out of place in our society? Did you ever feel like you couldn’t fit in?

Well, good...so have I. The reason it’s hard to fit in is that we don’t. Our kingdom is heaven, our values are kingdom, our passions are from the Spirit, and our mission is to replace the culture of this world with the culture of heaven.

We love God, but our society loves money, objects, and titles. We love people, but our world places people at the bottom of priorities. Society looks for idols; we have a King. Society values physical beauty, but we value character.

Paul taught us: “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28, NIV) But our society is fixated on our differences. My dad used to say, “Paul, all men bleed red” and “There are no atheists in fox holes.” He was so right. Don’t get me wrong—I celebrate cultural differences and origins, but deep down we are all God’s children.

The Kingdom of God is all about values and truth. Jesus said, “‘But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’” (Matthew 6:33, NIV) The Psalms tell us, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; love and faithfulness go before You.” (Psalms 89:14, NIV)

You weren’t born again because of your color or nationality but because of the color of the blood sacrifice of Christ our King. You are valuable to God, and you fit in His kingdom.

You were born of the Spirit to touch a fallen world. You bring heaven to earth in small and big ways because you are a miracle.

Your friend, Paul Marc Goulet
