Seek Him
We live in a world that tells us we should just go out and do what makes us happy. ‘Be you’ and ‘live your truth’ have become the mantras of our time. But how do we truly ‘be us’? How can we live out our truth and be truly happy?
The world has a lot to say about who we are, or who we should be, but the only way to know who we truly are is to seek the One who made us. No one knows us better than the One who breathed life into us. And only He can bring true joy into our life. But we need to pursue His heart. We need to seek Him with our whole heart.
God tells us to call to Him and He will tell us things we don’t know. When we pursue God and allow Him to speak, He brings light to the parts of our heart that were hidden. He enters into those deep spaces and shows us what’s inside. And He restores and redeems those wounded parts of our heart. He reminds us of our purpose and strengthens us with His love, giving us the ability to withstand the storm when it comes. He empowers us to stand firm in the face of opposition by the might of His Spirit.
And He shows us the depth of His love for us; a love that is everlasting. He shows us His gentle, fatherly love and reminds us that we are seen, we are wanted and we are loved. He loves us. He loves you. Deeply and unconditionally.
Each day, let’s seek His heart, knowing that the One who loved us to death, holds us in the palm of His hand.
