Strength to Seek

Imagine having access to a warehouse that was stocked with all of the essentials that you need on a regular basis. Think of it being like a personal Amazon facility that is exclusive to you and your unique needs. That would be out of this world, wouldn't it? You likely wouldn't know what to do with yourself.

While this doesn't exist in real life, it does exist in the relationship we have with God. We have access to something very similar--the presence of God. His presence isn't a warehouse, but it is undoubtedly stocked with everything that we need on a regular basis--guidance, peace, joy, clarity, vision, strategy, strength. There is an endless supply of the things we need.

Psalm 16:11 tells us that fullness of joy is found in God's presence, and pleasures forevermore are at His right hand.

How can we access this fullness...this abundance? It's only accessible through pursuit. In other words, if we are going to find what we need, we must find God. When we find God, we also fund his strength.

Father, thank You for a renewed desire to pursue your presence. Remind me as often as necessary that You are worth seeking; that when I seek You, I will find Your strength and everything that I need.
