How Can I Handle the Trials of Life?نموونە
You can experience God
Would you like to experience God and hear His voice? Would you like to feel close to God and have a relationship with Him?
If your answer is yes, you are in the right place. Paul the Apostle once had the same objective: “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of His resurrection and participation in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death,” (Philippians 3:10, NIV). Paul was actually saying, “I want to experience Christ and His power, and I want to experience His help when I suffer.” Wow!
The desire to experience God is not universal. Many people don’t want to know about God, and many have been turned off by religion. I’ve known a few who wanted to have knowledge about God but not experience Him. The Bible talks about people “having a form of godliness but denying its power...” (2 Timothy 3:5, NIV).
God really loves you. It’s not just a cliché or a touching theological thought—it’s the truth. God wants to have a relationship with you. He wants you to experience Him. Men and women were created by God for that relationship: “And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, ‘Where are you?’” (Genesis 3:8-9, NKJV) Jesus, too, desired relationship: “‘Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.’” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)
I love to go to church. I love to learn about God and study the Bible. The difference for me started when I invited Jesus into my life. I’ve experienced Him for over 40 years. He’s become my best friend.
Would you like to experience Him on a daily basis? If you choose this path, it starts with a heartfelt prayer something like this: “Dear Jesus, I want to invite You into my life, my mind, and my body. I want to know You intimately. Please forgive me for all my mistakes and sins. Fill me with Your Spirit, and lead me on this great journey called life.”
If you just prayed this prayer, get ready for a wild and wonderful journey because He is real. God will help build you up to handle any situation. You can know about God, or you can know God. It’s your choice because you’re a miracle.
