Worth More Than Rubiesنموونە
A WOMAN OF GENEROSITY
We may assume the Proverbs 31 woman has such a full life because she was a hard worker, married rich, or was just plain lucky. However, I believe it’s her giving that’s led to her rich life. To be clear, I don’t just mean she is rich as in money alone, but also in time well spent. She reached out to the poor. She intentionally sacrificed not only her finances but also her time and energy to give to those in need. She didn’t have to do this, but she did, and because of it, we see Luke 6:38 reflected in her life.
“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38 ESV)
When we think of living a life of honor and virtue, we often think of what we need to receive to live such a life. I want to ask, what do you need to give? What seed do you need to plant? The Proverbs 31 woman had so much because she gave so much.
It’s not our giving that makes our lives rich, but our God who honors our giving. If you want much, give much. It does seem like a conflicting philosophy but giving is like planting. It reaps a harvest.
“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” (2 Corinthians 9:6 ESV)
I believe the full and fruitful life we see the Proverbs 31 woman living is the sincere harvest of a giving heart.

About this Plan
When we think of what it means to be a woman, we often focus on what women do instead of who we were created to be. "Worth More Than Rubies" is a grace-filled study on the seven virtues of the Proverbs 31 woman to equip Christian women to live lives of courage, legacy, and faith.
