The Aetherlight Episode 2 Family Planنموونە
My Way or the Highway
Abraham proved that God is willing to negotiate - to a point. Even Jesus, at the limits of His strength and crying out for help, prayed, "Not my will but Yours." It seems that Jacob is still in the practice of trying to call the shots though. In the light of how well that has been working for him lately, how would you advise him to proceed?
Something to think about while you are reading today’s passage:
After meeting with God, Jacob seems to be up to his usual tricks, trying to negotiate the best deal for himself. When God and Abraham made a covenant, it was a mutual agreement, but this sounds like a set of demands. God is silent in this part of the encounter - how would you read God's lack of response? What do you think His response would have been, had He given one?
Something to talk about with players of The Aetherlight:
In The Aetherlight, Julian is sent on his way with a promise - and a job to do. It's a good opportunity to discuss how willing we are to be part of God's plan, and who puts more conditions on that involvement - God or us?

About this Plan
The Aetherlight: Chronicles of the Resistance is an exciting new steampunk game with a difference - It's an allegory of God’s amazing story in Scripture! Episode 2 continues the story of the fledgling Resistance, and the call to restore Aethasia under the guidance of the Scarlet Man. These studies help players who have joined the Resistance tie the game and the Bible together so they can grow in their part in God's story.
