[From Heaven to the Hay in the Heart] Part 1

DAY 1 OF 3

Heaven Has A Plan

Heaven has had a plan from the very beginning. In the book of Genesis, the Bible announced the plan to bring the Savior to the world. The coming of the Savior, the Messiah, is prophesied through the Old Testament.

The prophet Micah declared that the Lord and Ruler, whose origins are from eternity, would come from Bethlehem Ephrathah. There were two towns called Bethlehem in Israel, and that prophet specified the one in which the Savior would be born. The prophet Isaiah told us that the Lord who would come to rule and have the government upon his shoulders would be born from a virgin and His name would be called Emmanuel. God gave us the exact place of the Savior’s birth, and also His name.

Heaven had a plan, and this plan began to be revealed when God the Father started to announce the coming of His Son to the world many centuries before He was born. In Isaiah 7:14, the prophet says that Son will be called Wonderful Counselor and Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. The Bible affirms the deity of God the Son.

Heaven’s plan was to bring us a Savior, but this Savior, though He was fully human, was God himself. The coming Messiah, born of a virgin, was Emmanuel—God with us! God the Father longed to be with us, so He sent us His Son, and through Him, His Spirit.

Heaven’s plan was also revealed in a star. It was revealed to wise men from the East who were led by a star directly to the prophesied town of Bethlehem. The gospel of John, in chapter 1 states that: “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God.” referring to Jesus Christ.

According to Peter Stone, a mathematician from the University of Pasadena, California, the probability of one person fulfilling the 48 Old Testament messianic prophecies is 1 in 10 to the 10,157th. Jesus Christ is this person!

Jesus means God is Savior. His very name announces that He is the Savior. Heaven had a plan: the hay held the Savior so that our poor hearts could be filled with the very presence of God.

About this Plan

[From Heaven to the Hay in the Heart] Part 1

Heaven had a plan from the very beginning. Heaven’s plan was to bring us a Savior; this Savior, though human, was God Himself. Hay held the Savior who would save our hearts. Heaven’s plan began to be unfolded in the Old Testament, centuries before the birth of Christ.
