Chosen to Be a Miracle! Advent Plan Based on “The Chosen"نموونە
Day 20: Let the children come to Me
Some time ago, while playing in the forest, I found a tent with woodworking tools as well as food and other things. It looked like a carpenter had set up shop in the forest.
I was so intrigued that the next day, I called my friend Joshua and asked him to come with me to find out a little more about this person. Joshua was afraid He might be a bad person, but I was sure He wasn't. His life reflected genuine kindness and goodness!
After some joking around, Jesus let us stay with Him on the condition that we would help Him, as He was working on a number of projects He had to finish. We were so captivated by the experience that the next day, we called several of our friends, and we all went to be with Him. We loved listening to Him so much! He spoke in a way that was straight to the heart yet very easy to understand, even for kids like us.
His teachings permeated my heart as well as the hearts of all my friends. After a few days, Jesus had finished His project, and He told us that He had to go on His way to do the things that God told Him to do. It was sad news, but at the same time, I was happy to know that He was going to touch other people.
Jesus' fame is growing, and we've had the opportunity to go and listen to Him and even see some of the miracles He has done in our region. Yes, I am a follower of Jesus! I know I am just a child, but not long ago I heard Him say, "...'Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.'" (Matthew 19:14, NKJV)
Yes, I believe that He is the Messiah we were waiting for. I know that He had a plan in that forest so that my friends and I could find Him and He could touch our hearts.
My name is Abigail, and I have been chosen by Jesus.
P.S. Dear friend, Jesus wants to have a deep and living relationship with all of us, and this relationship is not limited to adults and the elderly. I pray that God will give you the wisdom to introduce Jesus to your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and neighbors, especially at this most special time of year, so that from a young age, they can have an encounter with the One who loves them most.
