Thrive: A Journey Through the Psalmsنموونە
Discuss and Connect
Today we encourage you to connect with a small group or a friend to discuss what God has been speaking to you this week.
Discussion Questions:
1. How has God been speaking to you through this week's Bible readings? What are some things that stuck out to you? What are some things you have learned?
2. In the daily challenges this week, you were encouraged to practice lament. If you tried this, how was your experience? Do you find it difficult to express your feelings or disappointment to God? Why? Or why not?
3. Read Psalm 13:1-2.
Have you ever faced a time in your life when you despaired the way David did in this Psalm? What advice would you give to someone wondering where God is in the midst of their circumstances.
4. Read Psalm 31:10-15.
Psalm 31 addresses the pain of rejection. What negative effects has rejection had in your life? What advice would you give to someone who needs to move past rejection?
5. Read Psalm 42:5-6.
What does it look like to hope in God? Describe in practical steps how someone who is discouraged can place their hope in God.
6. Read Psalm 71:6-8.
The Psalmist says that he has become a sign for many. How does God use what we have been through for His glory? Is there a moment in your life that stands out to you as something that God could use as a sign to point people to Him?
