Walking in the Wildernessنموونە
Finding Your Door Of Hope
Have you ever felt the Lord leading you into a wilderness, or away to a solitary place? The Lord led me out from everything I knew and loved, to just "be" and simply walk with Him. Instead of my normal Monday-to-Friday busy routine inside the four walls of a building, many meetings, and a flurry of activities, my "wilderness experience" consisted pretty much of just me walking around a lake in nature!
I remember starting my journey saying, "How did I get here, Lord?"
But before long, I began saying, "Lord, I don’t want to leave here."
The Lord hasn’t allowed you to walk into a wilderness to fill you up with more trouble. God wants you to walk through the valley of trouble and into a new day, a new season anchored in hope. Bible hope is the confident expectation of what God has promised, and its strength is in His faithfulness.
Jesus Christ is called our Blessed Hope! Look up to God and ask Him to transform that door of trouble into a door of hope! If you are in the wilderness right now, or if He is leading you to a solitary place, embrace it! It’s going to be okay. Know that the One who leads you is with you. He has not abandoned you. He is right there in the midst of it all, and He will lead you out! Be encouraged – Jesus Himself was led into the wilderness – and He came out of the wilderness "in the power of the Spirit."
