Walking Through the Book of Acts - Part 1

DAY 1 OF 7

Have you ever read the book of Acts?

Have you ever read the book of Acts? Did you know that the book of the acts of real Christians has never stopped? The book of Acts is one of the most inspiring and encouraging. “In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.” (Acts 1:1-3, NIV)

We sure need more acts of God right now. In the book of Acts, God did these wonders through believers like you and me. Fear, pandemics, civil unrest, power grabs, corruption, and insane rules are crushing huge parts of civilization. But we can live the book of Acts.

Are you okay? Are you surviving the virus and the hysteria that goes with it? Please let me know how we can pray for you. We love you, and God loves you.

God is still willing to move in this generation. The world is panicking because it has no answers—only theories, shutdowns, and draconian measures. I’m not blaming the leaders of governments. They have no answers, so they lock down, breed fear, and search for a cure. Even when scientists find reliable vaccines, society remains gripped by fear. We all need more faith and less fear. The Bible says, “‘Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.’” (Joshua 1:9, NKJV)

So, are you willing to be added to the long list of miracle workers? Rise up in faith and urge your leaders to as well. God is with us. We can take preventive measures. Whether we choose masks, vaccines, sanitizers, or massive doses of supplements and vitamins, choose to be unafraid. Choose to open up, love, invest, and move forward.

Jesus demonstrated this fearless life in Matthew: “‘Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.’” (Matthew 10:8, NIV) He commanded us to cross the street to pray for the lepers. While their society called them unclean and exiled them, Jesus prayed for them and even laid hands on them.

I’ve walked through the jungles of Africa, slums of India, barrios of Mexico, and trenches of Madagascar, praying for every sick person in desperation who found us. Don’t be afraid. Live your life, pray for the sick, help the poor, and rescue the lost. You will die one day—we all will—but our lives are in God’s hands, and our eternity is guaranteed.

Because you are a miracle.

Your friend, Paul Marc Goulet
