What To Do When You Want To Quit

DAY 3 OF 5

The Bible says that the power of life and death is in the tongue, and we’ll eat the fruit thereof.

How many times have we eaten the fruit of the stinking thinking that has come out of our mouths? How many times have we said things that we were feeling and then had to eat the fruit of it? How many times have we made the decision to quit and not even realized how close we were to victory?

If you quit, you’ll never know.

What people don’t often realize is that wanting to quit is a sign of success. If life was all butterflies and rainbows, then we wouldn’t be able to truly appreciate the successes. When you start to feel that resistance, then you can almost be certain that you are on the path to success. The enemy isn’t interested in someone who is doing nothing because he already has them where he wants them.

It is those who are reaching success that the enemy seeks to attack. When you get closer to reaching your dreams, you’ll find that the enemy throws obstacles in front of you to throw you off course.

I have never met anyone who has never wanted to quit.

Everyone feels it, and everyone goes through it.

We all go through those seasons but we have to get to the place and find the point where we are pulled along by adrenaline. Whether you feel like you’re lagging behind in last place, or at the front of the race, you will still feel the thought process of wanting to give up.

But you don’t have to run the race alone.

God is with us especially during these seasons. He knows that we feel like quitting. He knows when we’re tired and when we feel discouraged, and He knows that during these feelings we will consider quitting!

Push past the quitting points.

When you feel like quitting, turn your eyes towards Jesus. He’s in front of us. He’s running behind us. He is alongside us.

And He doesn’t quit.
