OUR GOD IS LIFE
Can you imagine that moment at Jesus’ baptism (the water): His Father says from Heaven, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17). Before he had “done” anything. He then submitted to God’s plan to the cross (the blood). Then, we are given the Holy Spirit (the spirit), the gift Jesus promised us when he ascended to Heaven.
These verses encourage us to continue to hold onto the gospel! The amazing story of Jesus, His life on earth, from baptism to cross, His promise to never leave us and His gift of the Spirit to us. It goes further to say that we should live in a way that shows others Him, because of the evidence we have seen and the testimony of faith we have.
Reflection:
Take a moment to recount your testimony of faith. What has God done in the past and what is he doing now. This testimony continues to form our Confident Hope in Jesus.
Prayer:
Thank you, Jesus, for your life on earth, and your life you give to us spiritually. You breathe and life comes into things. I will remember your testimony of grace in my life.
