Embrace the Race: Persevering Through Challenging Timesنموونە
Persuaded
We often think of persuasion as a negative thing, but not all pressure is negative. During Paul's defense, King Agrippa realized Paul was trying to convert him to Christianity. Despite having his motives exposed, Paul wasn't shy in his response. He said he prayed for everyone listening to him would become convinced of the truth. Sometimes, just like Paul, we need not be afraid of influencing people in the right direction.
Although we need to approach people in a manner of love and respect, true love will compel us to see they have every opportunity to get their life right with God. When we understand their eternal destiny is in the balance, it is foolish to allow ourselves to be held back by fear. Many believers are in church today only because someone took the time to teach them the truth about Jesus. Paul spoke in his letter in 2 Corinthians 5:11, "Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men." Like Paul, we need to desire to share Jesus with those God has put in our lives.
Daily Challenge
Lord, remove all fear of man from my life. I want to be a bold witness for you. Lord, I ask you for opportunities to speak about what you have done in my life. In Jesus' name. Amen
