DAY 14 OF 28

Discuss and Connect

Today we encourage you to connect with a small group or a friend to discuss what God has been speaking to you this week.

Discussion Questions

1. How has God been speaking to you through this week's Bible reading? What are some things that stuck out to you? What are some things you have learned?

2. Moses was accused of wanting to be a ruler and judge over Israel. Do you think this accusation was correct?

Exodus 2:14-15, Acts 7:23-29, Hebrews 11:24-27

3. What excuses did Moses give to God about why he was unable to go to Egypt? Do you think these were his real reasons for not wanting to go? What excuses do we often give for not wanting to do what God has called us to do?

Exodus 3:11-13, Exodus 4:1, Exodus 4:10-13

4. Moses needed to hear that the Lord would be with him. What kind of internal struggles do you think Moses was feeling? Can you recall a situation where you or someone you know had to overcome negative feelings to accomplish what God was putting in their heart to do?

5. Often, our insecurities will arise when things don't go as planned. What do you think were Moses's expectations of how God would deliver his people? How do you think his expectations may have differed from what happened? Can you recall a time in your life where you expected something from God, but His timing was different than your expectations?

Exodus 5:15-22-23

6. This passage lists different occasions where the Israelites rejected Moses. What are some of the effects of rejection that you can see in these passages? What advice would you give to a friend who has been battling rejection?

Acts 7:23-39
