Peace for the Caregiverنموونە
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
My husband’s life career involved home appraisals. He at one time was a realtor, but for most of his life, he was a real estate appraiser, working for banks and the city government. He would be the first one to tell you that the value of your home would go up according to where it was located.
If your home was on a beautiful plot of land overlooking water, the value would be far greater than a home in a run-down area of a city.
Our eternal destination has a location that many do not consider. At every funeral I have ever been in, it doesn’t matter if the deceased lived their entire life as a hellion, the people left behind spoke of ‘he or she as being in a better place.’ NO, NO, NO, NO.
There is only one way to Father God in Heaven and that is through His only Son Jesus. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 7:2
In yesterday’s study, I revealed how our daughters phone conversation gave us not only reassurance of Dan’s soon-to-be location, but it gave him peace to move on to his new home.
“Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in God; believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself, that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14:1-3
Yes, there is literal heaven, and a literal hell and they are two separate locations where people spend eternity. Once we get to that location, that is where we will live again forever. There is no repentance after death. Every day how we choose to live becomes our eternal judgment. God gives us free will. His desire is that we chose Him who paid a high price with Jesus going to the cross, grave, and resurrection for those who will believe in Him.
CAN YOU RELATE?
It doesn’t take a genius to know that location matters when it comes to a home; where will your eternal location be?

About this Plan
Until a person becomes a caregiver, they have no idea of the pressure and stress that accompanies the title. A caregiver involves more than caring for an individual. It is being present daily and watching as their loved one or patient ebbs away. Join me as we find there can be peace on this journey.
