Bricklayers 2نموونە
After 3 days, Nehemiah stands up in front of his people. Months of praying. Weeks of traveling. Days of silence. And then he speaks. What does he say? How will he round up the troops for the mission God laid before him?
“You see the trouble we are in.” Nehemiah started his speech with the obvious. We are in trouble. Our city is in trouble. Everybody had to be nodding their heads. The attacks from the enemy had to be getting old.
“Let us build the wall.” Nehemiah didn’t come just as a messenger, but he came as a member. Let us build. I will build with you. I will work hard with you. We will do this.
“We may no longer suffer.” Our suffering will end. Sleepless nights will disappear. Are you ready to turn your suffering to celebration? Let’s get to building.
“And I told them of the hand of my God that had been upon me for good.” Nehemiah reinforced who was leading the way. He wasn’t leading. He was following the lead of God. And he communicated this to the Jewish people.
Are you in trouble? Is your family in trouble? Your marriage? Your job? Your kids? Your friends? Are you willing to jump in with them and restore what is broken with them? Suffering will turn into celebration, because Jesus is leading us to restore what is broken.
