The Process Between the Promise Made and the Promise Fulfilledنموونە
How do you prepare?
1. Intensify your prayer life. Make prayer a priority. You’re not going to always feel like it, but this is when you will learn to be disciplined and to not be a slave to your feelings. Your prayer life is going to properly prepare you, position you, and propel you.
2. Live a life of prayer AND fasting. Learn to die to your flesh daily! How can you well steward what God is going to give you if you do not die to self? Are waiting on your promise for career, a new home, children, marriage, ministry, etc? These will all require selflessness and dying to your flesh when you have them.
3. Serve. Serving is an act of worship. Worship God by serving him and serving others. Be a vessel for God and allow Him to use your life for his glory. Serve God without the need for it to be seen by others. Serve Him with the pure motive of just wanting to please Him. Because He has given us everything, He is so worthy of our dedication to His service.
These are the main things for everyone, but there are more detailed things for each person. Pray about how you should be preparing in this season while you wait. Be ready to be obedient to whatever that thing is when He responds. Sometimes it is not what we want to hear, but what is necessary. God is faithful. He may show you the "what" now and the "why" later. Your focus is to obey.
