Finding Rest in the Midst of Stressنموونە
Run your own race.
Keeping up with the Kardashians will keep you out of the rhythm of grace. I want to illustrate this using the example of speed. For example, the speed of a bicycle is different than the speed of an airplane. A bike can not compete with the speed of an airplane. We must understand that each one of us is designed differently by God, and with that makeup comes a different speed.
Don’t try and compete with another person who does not share your same load, share your past, and who is not headed in the same direction. Focus on God and what He is doing in your life. Know your pace in life. The best way to do that is to stop comparing yourself to someone else. Don’t start projects just because someone else is. Be content with who you are and where you are going. God can always use what other people are doing to inspire us to do the same, but there is a fine line between being insecure with who you are, and as a result, trying to be like someone else. In the midst of this, fill your mind with the Word of God and think on whatever is pure as the Bible says in Philippians; you will notice a decline in negative thoughts. Run your race and Jesus will bless you.
Today's Challenge:
Notice what areas in your life you’re insecure about or are competing in with others. Take some time in prayer and ask the Lord to help you remove that from this day forward.
