Break Trailنموونە
Following someone down a trail or road can be so sketch. Chances are, you don't know where you're going, and you're feeling a little helpless. It's even worse if you've never been on that path before. Every scary movie you've ever watched starts flashing in front of your mind. So scary!
Toward the end of the Bible, Peter, a close friend and follower of Jesus, is coming to the end of his life, and he wants to break down the Christian life to a sentence. Here it is: "Jesus is your example, now follow him." Life has a way of getting pretty scary and uncertain at times. If we've never been down the path of following Jesus, we might be nervous about what could be waiting around the corner. We have to keep our eyes on Jesus to know what lies ahead. If we don't, we'll get off path and may find ourselves in danger. The only way to stay on the path is to focus our eyes on Jesus and follow his example.
What is the example Jesus has set out for us? What kind of example can we set for others?

About this Plan
If you're a hiker, you know a trail-breaker is someone who walks ahead, makes a new way, and invites others to follow. That's exactly what Jesus did for us. He broke a new trail with his birth, his life, his teachings, and then with his death and resurrection. In this 30-day devotional series designed for Lent, we’ll see how Jesus showed us a new way of living and knowing God.
