Pass It On

DAY 18 OF 20

Have you ever waited in a long line, maybe for a roller coaster or a movie you were waiting so long to see, only to watch someone cut in front of you? Talk about rude right? You may even be reliving some of those emotions. Anger, annoyance, or disbelief begin to bubble up. While it’s easy to get upset with someone for being selfish, like cutting in line, we've all let pride blind us from thinking of others. Pride whispers the lie that you are the most important person on the planet; that other’s needs, wants, or experiences aren’t as valuable as yours.

God gives us an example to follow that is so much better, being humble. Here is a great quote to help us understand what humility is, "Humility isn't thinking less of yourself, rather it means thinking of yourself less" –Rick Warren. One of the greatest examples of humility is when you think about how your actions impact the lives of others. When we live humbly, we can pass on the good news to others.

How can you practice humility today?

About this Plan

Pass It On

These days, you see a lot of people using their social media platforms to talk about themselves. But Scripture is filled with stories about "influencers" who made a name for themselves talking about Jesus is and what Jesus came to do. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll be challenged to share the good news of Jesus like the early apostles did.
