The Thin Places: Building Foundations نموونە
It is difficult to give expression to what happens within our thin places.
“Thin places” have been described for generations by Celtic monks as the place in time where space between heaven and earth grows thin; where sacred and secular collide. A place where people are real with God, unafraid of the mess in which they find themselves; marked but unashamed.
We all have moments in life that are messy, so emotionally difficult, heart breaking, and painful, yet we can experience the presence of God in these moments. Intimacy with Jesus enables us to see things differently. We navigate through life differently with Jesus.
Nehemiah was a man in the Old Testament who wasn’t afraid to mourn, fast, and cry out to God. He prayed to God in the midst of his ups and downs, highlands and valleys, and experienced God. Something that once was, is brought to nothing, yet the people experienced the power of God in their “thin place”.
