This Psalm tells of the result of forgiveness. When David hid his sin, he felt terrible. He felt like he was dying on the inside. Going to God for forgiveness was a blessing. Our pride can prevent us from asking for forgiveness. Maybe we think we weren’t wrong or if we ignore it, we will forget about it. David’s experience is that forgiveness brings happiness.
