Repentance Brings Blessings
Hosea 14:2
Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him: “Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips.”
When you realize that you have done something bad to your best friend, in order to restore the friendship, you will have to admit your mistake, make a sincere apology, ask for forgiveness and rebuild the relationship with your best friend.
These verses are about God teaching the Israelites how their repentance can bring blessing to their life. God taught them to confess and acknowledge their sins and humbly and sincerely ask for God’s forgiveness.
It is also applicable to us. Saying you’re sorry may look simple, but sometimes our pride and ego stop us from doing it. God wants us to humble ourselves and sincerely admit our sins.
We can come and confess our sins to God anytime in prayer. Ask God to help you to be quick to apologize to others, too. This way we will surely live with abundant peace.
Prayer
Dear God, I want to apologize for all my wrongdoings. Thank You for always forgiving me and welcoming me with open arms. Amen.
