Discovering the Real Youنموونە
WHO Is First, WHY Is Next
People make crucial career and life decisions without ever considering who they are in Christ and how He has designed them. As a result, they might question their life decisions years down the road or ultimately become unfulfilled.
It’s our “WHY” that should drive us because it’s what keeps you going on the challenging days. A paycheck will not keep you motivated forever.
If you’re facing some big life decisions like:
- what college/major to choose,
- if you should change your current career, or
- whether you should take that big step
I highly recommend understanding why you are making this decision because when you are clear about your “WHY,” everything else becomes apparent.
Journal Question:
How will you summarize your mission statement? This is your “WHY,” which will serve as a guiding compass for you when making big decisions. Incorporate what you discovered in the previous days.
Example: My mission is to live each day by intentionally prioritizing my relationship with Christ, to serve those around me by equipping them on their journey through life, and to live to give my best to every person I encounter.
