Crisis Convertedنموونە
Theme: God has a plan.
Crisis Converted Then:
Having convicted the Israelites of their idolatry, the prophet now reassures them that Yahweh is God alone and he has a plan. In the microcosm of Israel's current circumstances, the plan is the bird of prey coming from the east, which refers to Cyrus II and the Persian army. But in the grander vision of God’s eternal plan, he is always seeking to bring his righteousness near to his people.
Crisis Converted Now:
God’s plan has been made known to us. So often we spend time as Christians wondering what God is doing or is going to do. What we are looking for is insight into God’s plan for our specific life. Yet, God’s plan is bigger, so much bigger than just our life. He has made this plan known in Jesus Christ. It is important to think every day about God’s ultimate plan. Through Jesus Christ, every person can have eternal life with God when God restores all of creation.

About this Plan
This study from Isaiah 40-55 explores our identity as people affected by trauma but living in hope. In the exile, God’s nation had to find new life when their old life had been completely overturned and destroyed. Similarly, we now find ourselves trying to “return to normal” in the aftermath of a global pandemic. Yet, God can take any crisis and convert it for his glory and our growth.
