A Deeper Life In Christنموونە
God has made everything beautiful in His time
The wisest man who ever lived on this earth, King Solomon, has made this profound statement that God "has made everything beautiful in its time," which ties perfectly with our today’s devotional scripture. In the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve had disobeyed God’s command and had eaten the forbidden fruit, they had distanced themselves from the intimate relationship that God had always desired from His ultimate creation. To redeem all of humanity, God had planned and purposed to send His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, who came as the “Seed” of the woman to “bruise the head” of the serpent (Satan) as was declared by God over 6000 years ago.
Jesus Christ came to this earth in God’s time to die and become the ultimate sacrifice for us, so that we can have a relationship with Him here on earth and go to heaven to be with Him for all eternity. Jesus left His place at the right hand of God the Father at the precise moment, traveled to earth to accept humanity, and became one of us in the fullness of time (v. 4). The fullness of time was God’s appointed time (v. 2), foretold by the prophets for the coming of Christ, and the perfect time in history when all the world conditions favored His appearing (1 Cor. 10:11).
At the perfect moment, Jesus Christ conceived in the womb of Mary, who then traveled about 80 miles from Nazareth of Galilee to the city of Bethlehem to be born in a stable. The timing of Jesus to be born was perfect from all angles, and this time could only have been conceived in the heart of an all-knowing God. Jesus came at the best moment when the Greek culture and language had spread through the occupation of the Greek regime under Alexander the Great. The Roman occupation had created good roads and territorial boundaries providing easy travel all around Israel. It was the planning and providence of God that had put into place the perfect time to send His beloved Son into this world!
Today, God is still working behind the scenes to prepare His moment of intervention in our lives at the right time.
Let us trust God for His perfect time for He alone has made everything beautiful in His time!
