Shine Like A Star
Daniel 12:3
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
A star is a very large ball of bright glowing hot matter in space. Stars twinkle and shine, looking so magical. Some stars look brighter than others. The measurement of the brightness of a star is called apparent magnitude. If a star is very close to us, it will appear much brighter.
You and I can be a bright star that shines amongst our friends. How? You shine when you stop complaining when your teacher gives you a lot of homework. You shine when you refuse to cheat while your classmates do it. You shine when you refuse the temptation to sin and when you lead others to do the right thing.
To shine like a star is not difficult, and it only takes effort and a humble heart. Let us choose our way of living wisely and dare to be different from the world by being in sync with God’s word.
Prayer
Dear God, I choose to do what You say and to guide others to do the right thing. I want to shine brightly like a star in this dark world. Amen.
