Influence
Would you consider yourself influential? Between Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and so many other platforms, we all have platforms of influence. Love it or hate it, social media is something that is impacting our world in a huge way. What would happen if we started using our online presence as a tool to declare and demonstrate the kingdom of God to a hurting world? Even if you don’t use social media, you carry influence in your family, workplace, and neighborhood. You can use these opportunities to be a light in the darkness, a voice of hope.
“Can God use me to carry His greatness and light?”
Yes, God can use anyone. In the book of Acts, God awakened the Church with a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Church body was unified, praying with one another, preaching, and teaching the word of God. Each person used their influence to spread the message of Jesus and because of that, people were saved. Miracles took place, and so many lives were changed by Jesus Christ. It was incredible. Acts 19:10 even says, “...all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.” An entire region! Individually, they heard the good news of Jesus. They believed, obeyed, and as a result, many were saved. They were unified, even without the help of the internet. If they were able to unify a nation before the development of technology, think about the power you have to make an impact now! It is tempting to believe that your sphere of influence is too small to make a difference. But God can and will use you to start a movement just like He did in Acts. All you have to do is believe and follow through.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for using me. As my life is built on Your Word and my soul is awakened to Your voice, help me to become more confident in You and Your purpose for my life. Fill me. Use me and my influence to unify with other believers for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
