A Week Of Worship

DAY 4 OF 7

I’ll worship God no matter what.

You’re supposed to worship God honestly, with your whole heart. So can you still worship God when you’re sad? What about if you’re mad?

You can! It’s okay to worship God, even when you don’t feel very good and it seems things just aren’t fair. Worship is still honest when it’s all about loving God.

Paul and Silas knew what it felt like to have bad things happen. They were beaten and put in jail for sharing God’s Good News about Jesus. Now that’s not fair!

Even though Paul and Silas were in pain, and might have been sad and mad, they still showed the love and respect they had for God. They thought about God and how great He is. They worshiped God even though bad things happened to them.

God rescued Paul and Silas from prison after they worshiped. God will rescue you from sad feelings, mad feelings, and bad feelings when you choose to worship Him.

Talk It Over: Why do you think Paul and Silas chose to worship God even though they were stuck in prison? How can it help you to worship God when you don’t feel good inside?
