Walk Through The Bible 365 - May

DAY 17 OF 31

From Scraps To Splendour

Mephibosheth had at least three strikes against him: crippled legs, being the grandson of a former king, and a name difficult to pronounce. Nevertheless, in response to all God had done for him and out of respect for his friend Jonathan, David searched for this man and brought him from a place of embarrassing poverty to the palace. What a wonderful picture of what God does for all of us.

Prayer: Dear Lord, the salvation you provided has brought us all into a position of son-ship in your household of faith. From the scraps of sin, we now banquet on the splendour of your grace and mercy. It's nothing I deserve; I'm just like Mephibosheth in that way. But today, Lord, I am also immensely happy and thankful. Help me to spread your Word to those around me today. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
