A STEADFAST HEART
Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble. (2 Peter 1:10)
If Christ has paid our sins with His precious blood, do we still have to doubt His love for us? The problems and challenges in life do not happen without God's knowledge. Know that the Lord cares about what is happening in our lives. When Saul tried to hinder God's work by persecuting the believers at that time, Jesus came to Saul and asked him, “Why are you persecuting Me?”
Jesus felt every every emotion that we do. He is by our side when we choose to obey His word, when we choose to pray rather than grumbling, and when we choose to surrender to His power rather than seeking the shortcuts that are offered by the devil. The Lord is pleased with our perseverance and determination to follow Jesus.
All of us are the same in the eyes of God, whether we are highly educated or lowly educated, whether we have a lot of money or a little, or whether we are a boss or a subordinate in the company. The Lord is not looking for success in this world. He is more interested in the fruits of His truth in us.
A person who has a steadfast heart is someone who focuses only on what God says. He will be on his guard, not easily be affected by everything that is in front of his eyes - for not everything is useful and beneficial to build his life. He will weigh everything according to the word of God. Thus he will not be easily disappointed and discouraged in his journey of faith.
Keep holding fast to God and His Word, and you will reap the reward of His presence.
