Real Hope: Social Responsibilityنموونە
What Would You Do?
There are a lot of causes that vie for our attention on a daily basis, be it campaigns to sponsor a child, donate to female education or raise your voice against injustice. Our compassion is in demand.
What’s even more challenging as you sort through your mail, recycling pamphlet after pamphlet – is that each of those campaigns represents a person. We know we can’t give to everything we’re asked to, but we can pause and consider, ‘If I were in their situation, what would I want them to do for me?’
The answer to that question shouldn’t fill us with guilt, but spur us on to action. You may not be able to financially contribute, but can you share the campaign with someone who could? Can you use whatever network and community you have to speak up for the person whose voice isn’t being heard? Perhaps you can pray for breakthrough and that the person in the picture knows the love of Jesus and is filled with strength to face another day.
No matter who the person is you see hurting, God’s one request of us is that we treat them how we’d like to be treated. What does that mean for you today?

About this Plan
Social responsibility is spoken about throughout the Bible - it reflects a heart that looks out for the orphaned, widowed, broken and lost. This heart of social responsibility is something that as Christians called to make disciples we need to be actively engaged in. This plan aims to explore that in more depth.
