Thriving in Your Singleness Part Two

DAY 7 OF 7

Day 7

Let it go, Let it go

By now, I know many of you have seen the Disney movie Frozen. If you have any small children in your life, you have seen Frozen. When a child says they want to watch Frozen you can’t tell them no! I have three goddaughters, and whenever they come to visit me, we have to watch Frozen. Lol!

The theme song for Frozen:

Let it go, let it go

Can't hold it back anymore

Let it go, let it go

Turn away and slam the door

Some of us really dislike the word, FORGIVENESS! In your single season, learn to walk in rapid forgiveness because you will need it for marriage. Sometimes you may feel underestimated, underachieved, underrated, or unappreciated. Forgiving yourself can be a struggle, but forgiving others can be a bigger struggle.

Forgive your enemies. Forgive yourself. Sometimes our “inner me” is our biggest enemy. Sometimes we have to say, “Lord, forgive me for giving up on things you told me to do. Forgive me for not trusting your plan. I trust you.”

Life is too short. We must LIVE simply, LOVE generously, CARE deeply, GIVE tremendously, FORGIVE rapidly, SPEAK kindly, and SERVE passionately. In this life, keep GOD first above all.

The best, but most difficult, season is when God shows you, YOU. What do you need to do? What do you need to change? Whom do you need to forgive? To whom do you need to apologize? To whom do you need to be a blessing?

Forgive the people who treated you badly. Let it go. Forgive the people who overlook you. Let it go. Forgive the people who mishandled you. Let it go.

Forgiveness is an ongoing life-long process; we have the ability to choose how it will affect our daily lives.

Be like Joseph. Joseph's brothers, the people whom he loved the most, threw him into slavery because they were jealous of him being a dreamer. After all that Joseph went through, he had to turn back around, forgive, and love his family. Because Joseph didn’t try to get his brothers back, he wasn’t petty; God blessed him with favor and authority. Forgive yourself. Forgive your family. Forgive your enemies. Freedom is on the other side of forgiveness. Be Free! Let it go

Today's assignment: Write down every individual that hurt you. Write a letter of the scenario that took place. Explain how the transgressor’s actions made you feel. Read it out loud and then discard it.

Thriving in Your Singleness Part Two

What do you do while you wait? Do you remain stagnant year after year? Do you reject the idea of growing? Do you stop working toward your dreams? Do you stop serving God and others? The answer is NO. Singleness is a time to THRIVE
